About Our Alloy Wheel Repair Services
What You Need To Know:
In most cases, your car will be jacked up and the wheel(s) removed. For this we will require a flat off-road space, your locking wheel nut and access to a mains power supply. Please ensure tyre shine is thoroughly washed off before your appointment as it reacts with our paint.
An Overview Of The Process:
We separate the bead of the tyre from the wheel to allow good adhesion and a weatherproof seal after refurbishment. Damaged areas are then ground down, the wheel is thoroughly degreased, and the surface is keyed. The wheel is then repainted using the correct manufacturer’s paint colour and is merged with the existing paintwork perfectly.
Alternatively, the complete face of the wheel can be repainted, even in custom colours. Then a lacquer designed specifically for alloy wheels is applied to give a durable finish. After curing, the tyre is re-inflated at the correct pressure for the tyre. It is then dressed, and the wheel is refitted to the vehicle and the wheel nuts checked. On a fair-weather day, the vehicle can be driven straight away. On wet weather days a technician will advise you.
Aftercare:
It is recommended that the vehicle’s wheels are not cleaned with high pressure washers or strong cleaning liquids.
